PROJECT SUMMARY

Advent GX developed a tool that enables California decision makers to visualize and predict the sales performance of businesses based on their proximity to tourism attractions.The Advent GX Vector Based Assessment Model (VBAM) relies on an algorithm that assesses the likely interaction between two or more entities given their distance apart, size and barriers (or lack of connectivity) between them. In our case we project multilateral trade flows based on the economic sizes of and distance between two units (Gravity modeling was first used by Walter Isard in 1954). Our proprietary approach relies heavily on our strong data modeling background and in-depth GIS programming expertise.

Advent GX has since applied the same tool developed for the State of California – and modified for relevance to small and medium sized applications – to provide a measurement and analysis tool for small and underserved communities.
